چکیده

Abstract Many types of sustainably-prepared functional biochar catalysts are needed to transform biomass substrates into platform chemicals. In this work, weak-acid were prepared by mix ball-milled (10 min, isothermal, room temperature) cherry blossom tree leaf (BM) with humic acid (H) prior carbonization samples for 1 h under nitrogen gas. Characterization the as-prepared materials (HBM-carbonization temperature in °C) showed that activated biochars and increased their number oxygen-containing (–COOH, OH) groups. The applied as heterogeneous dehydration fructose 5-hydroxymethylfurfural (5-HMF), where it was found catalyst, HBM-400, gave 100% conversion 77.5% 5-HMF yields an ionic liquid (1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride) reaction system (140 °C, 60 min time). As-prepared HBM-400 exhibited constant catalytic activity repeated use without any type reactivation treatment stable 5 cycles. Humic is effective additive preparing from waste biomass. Graphical

Catalytic Conversion of Biomass-derived Carbohydrates into 5-Hydroxymethylfurfural using a Strong Solid Acid Catalyst in Aqueous γ-Valerolactone

Selective conversion of biomass-derived carbohydrates into 5-hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF) is of great significance for biomass conversion. In this study, a novel solid Brønsted acid was prepared simply by the copolymerization of paraformaldehyde and p-toluenesulfonic acid and then used to catalyze the conversion of various carbohydrates into HMF in γ-valerolactone-water (GVL/H2O) reaction medium...

Preparation, Physiochemical and Kinetic Investigations of V2O5/SiO2 Catalyst for the Sulfuric Acid Production

V2O5/SiO2 catalyst was utilized to oxidize SO2 to SO3 species in the presence of oxygen mainly for producing sulfuric acid. For this catalyst, the active phase was a mixture of vanadium pentoxide and basic sulfate/pyrosulfate material. This active phase at the reaction temperature behaved as a liquid filling up the pores of the silica support. On the other hand, amounts of the SO3 and V5+ speci...

Production of Butyric Acid and Butanol from Biomass

Butanol replaced gasoline gallon for gallon in a 10,000 miles trip across the United States without the need to highly modify a '92 Buick (your existing car today). Butanol can now be made for less than ethanol and yields more Btu's from the same corn, making the plow to tire equation positive – more energy out than it takes to make it and Butanol is much safer. Butanol when substituted for gas...
